Between the liquid and powder forms, is one more effective than the other?
The liquid and powder forms are equally effective. The powder is less dense than the liquid, so it’s lighter in weight and easier and cheaper to ship and carry.
Do you just toss the packets in the toilet or holding tank (is the packaging dissolvable)?
No, we package them in a rugged, trilaminate foil package that’s hermetically sealed. This provides several advantages compared to the toss ins with a delicate membrane: Inca Gold in the foil packets has a virtually infinite shelf life, they won’t melt in sunlight and stain surfaces, they won’t break open if they get wet, and they can safely be carried in a shirt pocket to treat the toilet on the road.
The toss-in variety of other brands do not start working until they breakdown which can take some time and our product starts working immediately and there is no build up of the membrane to clog your system.
How much deodorant is required?
Refer to the application instructions for the various types of facilities – bus, train, portable toilet, etc. In all cases the variables that influence requirements are ambient temperature (the higher the temperature, the faster the microorganisms that cause malodor multiply), frequency of use and frequency of service.
