History & Expertise

Founded in 1916 with the manufacturing of grain sanitization chemicals, Douglas has been providing protective products across the US and abroad for more than 100 years. Throughout that history, Douglas diversified into multiple niche markets, including custom blending and private label services. A solid commitment to integrity and to all the people we work with was passed down through the generations and continues to this day.

Our production, warehouse and sales staff has over 200 years of direct expertise in problem solving and product solutions for the industries we serve.

Our headquarters and production facility is just outside Kansas City, Missouri – in the heart of America. Our central location ensures that our products are easily transportable throughout the U.S. We source all packaging and all possible ingredients from U.S.-based vendors, making us to proud be a “Made in the USA” manufacturer.

Brenda Waid

Director of Operations

Brenda has been a backbone of the company since 2002 and manages all production: overseeing production and purchasing, shipping and receiving, maintenance and lab manager staff, regulatory and safety matters. Brenda is proud to maintain a decades-strong stellar record when it comes to regulatory and safety inspections for the company.

Heather Wallace

Director of Sales and Customer Service

Having been with Douglas since 2007, Heather is the go-to for all things sales and orders, providing price quotes and invoices, managing shipping, and supporting production planning. Heather interacts with customers on a daily basis and has an intimate knowledge of the product lines, our customers and their needs.

Director of Finance & Human Resources

Mary joined Douglas in 2019 and is our accounting guru, handling all the company’s Financial and HR needs. She controls the accounts with accuracy and efficiency to keep the company thriving. She’s also the solid base who the team bounces all kinds of ideas off of, and is often spotted giving a helping hand when needed in other parts of the office and warehouse.

VP of Sales

Dick handles business development and sales for the PH3 (Aluminum Phosphide) product line. With Dick’s 55+ years of experience in the industry, there is likely no one in the country who can match his combined product and industry knowledge. His passion is unflagging, and the team and his customers are always learning from him.
Jill Samuelson

Jill Samuelson

Customer Service Manager

Jill is the voice you’ll recognize when you call in, and has been with Douglas since 2001. Jill handles customer service, inside sales, freight logistics, and much more. An Inca Gold expert, Jill has direct knowledge of the product from her seasonal RV adventures. And being a 3rd generation Douglas employee, you could say the company runs in her veins!
Sandy Saylock

Microbiologist & Lab Manager

Sandy has been with Douglas since 2016 and manufactures the entire BioStim product line. She brings microbial experience from many industries including brewing, food and cosmetics. Sandy and her onsite lab are also a valued resource for a range of scientific testing needs for the company.

Director of Marketing

Janeen joined the team in 2025 to handle all things marketing. For over a decade prior, she directed a marketing network for local businesses and published a local food systems magazine, and managed marketing for a specialty ag product manufacturer before that.
