What it is
Grease Release is a scientifically formulated, industrial strength detergent and degreasing agent for sewer pipes that penetrates and emulsifies animal Fat, vegetable Oil, and Grease (FOG) into small particles that will not re-solidify. With its unique blend of biodegradable, non-caustic, and non-corrosive surfactants, Grease Release does not contain any phosphates or hydrocarbons like many other degreasing agents and is a time-tested solution for municipalities and contractors.
How it Works
Grease Release’s triple action formula penetrates, emulsifies and liquefies buildup. Grease Release penetrates surfaces all the way down to the pores with a grease-repelling barrier that slows future buildup. Grease Release emulsifies and liquefies FOG buildup on pipe surfaces so it will not re-solidify or re-adhere to pipes downstream, allowing it to flow all the way to the treatment plant. The treated grease will continue to break down, reducing buildup left behind in pipes. And the pipe surfaces are left with a soapy residue, making future cleaning easier and less frequent.

What makes Grease Release effective?
Interior pipe surfaces are porous, which gives FOG a foothold to hang on and accumulate. The surfactants and agents in Grease Release penetrate those surfaces and dissolves grease so that it will not re-solidify and re-adhere to pipes before getting to the treatment plant.
Is Grease Release okay to use for pipes and sewer systems?
The formulation of Grease Release is biodegradable, non-caustic, non-acidic, and non-corrosive. It is not petroleum based and does not contain phosphates or hydrocarbons like many other degreasing agents.
How does the Grease Release Metering System work?
The easy-to-install Grease Release Metering System eliminates mixing and measuring by injecting the exact amount of concentrate directly into the jetter’s water system. With the flip of a switch, the operator can control when and where it’s needed, saving time and money.
How long does Grease Release take to work?
The process is to first pressure jet the line manhole to manhole, to clear any debris. Then retrieve the hose at a specific rate depending on the size of the pipe while Grease Release is applied. Let the Grease Release sit in the line up to 15 minutes, depending on the pipe size. Re-jet the pipe to remove the liquefied grease. The grease will not re-solidify, but instead will continue to travel liquefied down the line to the treatment plant.
