Max Kill Vapo-Cide is a versatile liquid insecticide that can be used either as a fogging agent or spraying compound to provide effective control against exposed stages of stored-product insects, including rice weevil, granary weevil, confused flour beetle, sawtoothed grain beetle, cigarette beetle, Indian meal moth and cocoa bean moth. Max Kill Vapo-Cide is a Restricted Use Pesticide.

Vapo-Cide is:

  • ideal for use in mills, elevators, warehouses, train cars and trucks, as well as facilities containing non-perishable, packaged, bagged, raw or processed foods.

Vapo-Cide liquid formulation is available in two convenient package sizes:

  • 5 gallon metal pail
  • 55 gallon drum

 

Ingredients:

  • Active: Dichlorvos (DDVP) 5%
  • Inert: Aromatic D 100 (xylene)

Application Method:

Fogging Agent, Space Spray, or Contact Spray

Application Guidelines:

Refer to the EPA-registered labeling for the correct range of doses and safety procedures based on site requirements and the target pest.

As a space spray and contact spray (non-food areas only):

  • Dilute 1% to 3% with an approved solvent (deodorized kerosene)
  • One gallon covers 64,000 cubic feet

As a contact spray (non-food areas only):

  • Dilute 1% with an approved solvent (deodorized kerosene)
  • One pint covers 10,000 cubic feet

As a fog:

  • Fog with ULV Fogger ¾ to 1½ oz. per 1,000 cu. ft.
  • No re-entry for 24 hours without Personal Protection Equipment (PPE*)
  • Place “Danger” signs on all entrances
  • Open and aerate prior to re-entry

*PPE: Chemical resistant coveralls w/long sleeves, hood and booties, chemical resistant gloves, full face gas mask with organic vapor canister.

DO NOT APPLY DIRECTLY TO FOOD.

Vapo-Cide’s versatile formulation is designed for use in many locations including warehouses, mills, trucks and train cars, and grain handling and food processing facilities. Vapo-Cide can also be used in bakeries, packing/canning/bottling plants and brewery warehouses during times when the facility is not in operation and no processed and/or perishable foods are exposed.

If Vapo-Cide is not being applied remotely with a fogging system, be sure you’re suited up with the proper PE equipment per label specifications, and re-entry can be after 24 hours from application. Follow all labeling for manual application of Vapo-Cide.
